NEW YORK (May 2010) – Following last winter’s
highly acclaimed kosher cruises, including the critically-acclaimed
Festival of Jewish Music at Sea, Kosherica is proud to announce the 2010 all-star lineup of kosher cruises. This year’s Festival will feature returning performances by the most popular singers and entertainers on the Jewish music scene, including Dudu Fisher, Avraham Fried, and Lipa Schmeltzer, and will travel to such exotic destinations as the Mediterranean, Alaska, Baltic/Russia, and the Caribbean.
Kosherica is the
leading organizer of glatt kosher cruises since 1995.
As always, this year’s Kosherica cruises will sail along spectacular coastlines and visit places of breathtaking beauty. In addition to enjoying the natural beauty of these sites, and the amenities of world-class ocean liners, stimulating and thought-provoking lectures will be delivered by such notable scholars-in-residence as Rabbi Marvin Hier of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Rabbi Basel Herring of the Rabbinical Council of America, and Stephen J. Savitsky, President, and Rabbi Steven Weil,
Executive Vice President of the Orthodox Union.
Kosherica, which is synonymous with delicious, first-rate gourmet food, is pleased to host internationally-recognized Chef Arik Porat of the renowned Dan Arcadia in Herzliya, Israel for the first time.
This year’s
Festival of Jewish Music at Sea, to take place on August 1- August 8, will once again feature “a dream cast” of Jewish musical stars, including Avraham Fried, Dudu Fisher, Binyamin Helfgot, Ben Zion Miller, Danny Gildar and Lipa Schmelzer. The cruise, which will sail aboard the luxurious Celebrity Summit, will travel for seven days through Canada and New England and visit scenic ports along the way, including Portland, ME and Halifax, Novia Scotia. The scholars-in-residence for this cruise will be Mr. Savitsky and Rabbi Weil.
This cruise opens up a whole new world for guests residing in the Northeast of the United States, as the ship departs from the convenient location of
Cape Liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey, just across the river from New York City. Now, passengers can drive to their departure port rather than flying, saving time and money.
The full itinerary for 2010 cruise vacations offers many wonderful choices. Specialized excursions are created to allow the Kosherica guest to visit general interest sites along with Jewish interest.
